Baby O's Nursery

Thousands of ideas came to mind when I started designing Baby O's nursery. I knew that with our lifestyle her room had to be pretty portable. I wanted it to be fashionable, fun, timeless & not too girly. I  also wanted to surprise my husband with a few little French touches here & there. 

Thus the Glam-O-Rous nursery was created. Green, peach gold & black are the main colors. I also mixed it up with fun patterns & textures.

Have to Have? Baby List

The idea of registering for baby at one store didn't appeal to me. We wanted a stroller from here... a monitor from there... one place just didn't have it all! The solution to our problem? Babylist. It is an amazing website that allows expecting moms & dads to pull items from any website & create the ultimate baby list.

In creating our baby list we realized it is quite overwhelming!! Bottle warmers, pumps, play yards, swings, jumpers... oh man baby overload. While I am already planning out her outfits, the day to day products/goods are a mystery to me.

So I have two questions for you moms & dads out there. What is the one baby product that you couldn't live without? What is the one baby product that was a complete waste?

Feel Good Friday- tiny feet long weekend

Adorable teeny tiny mocs I picked up at the fair. The best part is all that fur. Perk, they are locally made. Now I know she might only wear them for a couple weeks. But how do you say no to their cuteness? Oh baby you are going to be spoiled. Enjoy the long weekend with your family & friends everyone. Happy Labor Day weekend!!

Inspiring Nursery

We have another loonnnggg week to wait before we find out the sex of the baby.  To distract myself I spend hours on end looking at baby room decor. I have come to realize several things while scouring blogs, home sites, etc.

1. I don't want a dominant pink or blue room.

2. I love modern mixed with vintage, obviously.

3. "Baby" doesn't have to mean unsophisticated decor.

 4. Not a fan of silly themes rather small pops of fun.

5. I love neutral colored walls paired with fun patterned items.

6. Furniture must serve multiple purposes, storage is key.

Little Update

It has been quite an eventful & stressful last few months. I have been dying to share with everyone our exciting news. Those who know me well know I can't keep a secret for the life of me. So while we revealed our news to immediate family & close friends, I was bursting to tell the entire world. As we transition into the second trimester I can say I have had a pretty normal pregnancy thus far (so I am told). However, I didn't seem to think puking from the site of avocados is normal. Until I realized  almost everything made me gag. I found comfort in Annie's mac&cheese and bunnies, of course. My girlfriend teased the baby  would come out orange.  I have been able to continue yoga practices & running although, not as often as I would like. I am excited to return to teaching flow yoga when we return from the wedding. As far as the baby bump goes it is small but there :) Bearsy is pretty excited about the baby & he seemed to know well before we did. He sleeps under the covers on my growing belly. I think he is already assuming the role of protective older brother.
